A native of Opelika, Ala., Scarlotte Brown Vaughn is the Managing Editor of East Alabama Living magazine, a quarterly general interest publication.
Vaughn graduated from Opelika High School in 1997 and Auburn University in 2001 with a degree in Apparel Merchandising Design Production. After graduation, she moved to Birmingham where she gained experience in Product Development and International Importing/Exporting with Triad Productions.
In April 2003, she married Dale Vaughn of Sylacauga, Ala., and that same year she started a wedding & event planning business called "Scarlotte Vaughn Weddings." In August 2004, the Vaughns moved back to Opelika where she is currently employed by the Auburn Network. In July of 2006 they welcomed a son, Tripp Vaughn, to the family.
